About Stilba
In short
Stilba is a UK company developing motorised blinds and curtains for Thread smart homes, so they can be run from the smart home app a household already uses. STILBA LIMITED was registered in England and Wales in 2023. Every product is in development, and nothing is for sale yet.
What we are making
We are working on ten types of window covering for UK homes. Each one is planned as a motorised product, with battery and mains options, for use with Thread. None of them is for sale yet.
Curtains:
- Curtains — folds of fabric that draw across the window
- Sheer curtains and voiles — a veil of soft light, with privacy by day
Blinds:
- Roller blind — one clean sheet of fabric that rolls away
- Day and night blind — two layers of stripes: slide them to let light in or hold it back
- Honeycomb blind — pleated cells that soften the light
- Roman blind — fabric that lifts in soft, even folds
- Venetian blind — slats you tilt to steer the light
- Sheer shade — soft vanes held between two sheers; it rises and lowers
- Vertical sheer blind — sheer vanes that turn and draw aside
- Vertical blind — tall vanes that turn and draw aside
Where we are now
Every product is in development. Nothing is for sale, we cannot take orders, and we cannot give prices. Stilba is a UK company. When our products are ready, they will be made for us by manufacturers outside the UK.
What we publish now is plain writing: guides to motorised blinds in British homes, covering bay windows, choosing a technology, whether you need a hub, and child safety, plus a Find your window page and a How it works page. The next things we plan to test are noise, battery life, and tracks for bay windows. We will publish what we measure.
How we work
We work to a short list of rules, and we try to keep to them plainly.

STILBA LIMITED has not sold anything yet. Separately from the company, the people behind Stilba have spent more than ten years fitting smart home systems, home networks and wiring in other people's homes.
STILBA LIMITED was registered in England and Wales in 2023. The company number is 15135962. The registered office is 12 Kenchester, Bancroft, Milton Keynes, England, MK13 0QP; it is post only, with no visitors and no showroom. The public record is held by Companies House.
